| Clark vs Kal-El (Superman) 2007-03-06 (Evette's Blog ) I love Superman!! We just watched the last two episodes of the third season of Smallville on DVD. Josh is on his way to Hollywood Video to pick up the next season so while I wait for him I thought I'd elaborate on my Clark Kent fascination. I think every driven person has to do a clark/superman balancing act. On the one hand you have your "destiny" or your dreams, goals, whatever you want to call it. On the other hand, you have all of the little things that you have to do everyday. In my case those little things include raising my two little kids, taking care of our little family, and doing shows. I try to do a good job doing those things because that is what keeps life going from day to day. The superman side of me however wants to spend every second writing the songs that will change the world and honing in on my own "super-abilities". I want to practice my instruments and compose music and dance and come up with cool ways to make our band and our sound and our message better. I think the key to true success in life lies in finding a balance between those two worlds. I know in our life Joshua makes more time for our goals and is able to fit in more super heroics than I do. I help him by being the Clark Kent side and thats probably why we are able to do everything we do. Luckily for me he pushes me to make time for my goals and I push him into the Clark side so we balance each other pretty well. He is my super hero! We'd love to hear about your Clark/Kal-El balancing acts! |

| So close I can taste it. 2007-01-04 (Josh's Blog ) Well, just a couple of days ago I put up the
first four songs of our new album "He Said, She Said" to our MySpace
site. Things are getting so close! I'm out of town on vacation right
now (San Francisco is the the best!) but we've been copying song files
back and forth over the internet to finish up the mixes. What you hear
now on MySpace is the almost final mix. It's almost final because there
are just a few little tweaks to some of the songs and then they all
still need to be mastered. (Mastering is where you send it to a
professional studio to adjust overall levels and make the sound really
sparkle, or shine, or however you want to describe it.) Once that is
all done, we are ready for duplication, and then I'll be posting a
release date.

| Finishing the CD and getting Myspace up 2006-11-20 (Josh's Blog ) We are about a week away to calling it wraps in
the recording studio. I'm hoping to release our first album within a
month. Lots left to do, though. We still need to take pictures, finish
the artwork, finish putting together freelybound.com, and do the
mastering and duplication. On top of that, I'm still working about 60
hrs a week and getting ready to go on the road with my fultime gig, The
Duttons. It'll be happening soon, though. Once I have a mixed copy of
the songs, I'll be putting 4 up on the myspace (The current song is
just a demo version.) |
